Take 5 with Sterling Lexicon’s Quality & Training Manager
Meet a new member of the Sterling Lexicon team—Astrid Ley! As Training and Quality Manager in EMEA and APAC, Astrid brings more than 13 years of experience in global mobility to the team. She worked for Sterling Mobility prior to the acquisition from Lexicon Relocation, which expanded their global footprint and service offerings in the mobility marketplace and was rebranded as Sterling Lexicon. Now, she’s excited to join an even more global team to help deliver an excellent customer experience.
What is your background in global mobility?
Before joining Sterling Lexicon, I most recently worked as Trainer and Systems Support Manager for a not-for-profit organization. Prior to that, I worked for Sterling Mobility for 13 years in various roles, including Relocation Manager and Process Manager. During that time, I also worked on internal audits in preparation for ISO certifications, and provided support and input for technology development. I was also involved in recruiting and onboarding, as well as organizing and delivering training sessions.
What attracted you to Sterling Lexicon?
Because I worked for Sterling Mobility, I know the Sterling Lexicon well and feel that I have developed and grown along with the organisation. I strongly believe in our values and enjoy working for a company that does not only care about its clients and its people but also about the local communities and environment.
What will be your areas of focus at Sterling Lexicon?
I’m responsible for the evaluation of learning needs within the organisation, preparing and maintaining a training programme that includes delivery and facilitating of training solutions for our mobility management platform, data integrity and quality. I ensure that data integrity on our systems and quality scores are regularly monitored so our clients consistently receive excellent service.
What region will you be concentrating on?
I am based in our London office and work with all offices in EMEA and APAC. I have lived and worked in different countries and previously liaised with colleagues from various backgrounds all over the world. I look forward to working with the teams in all our offices.
Which of our core values do you feel you embody most?
People tell me I’m patient, thoughtful and reliable. I like people, as well as planning and organizing. Therefore, our values really resonate with me—if I had to chose one, it would probably be integrity as everything else evolves around this.
