To reduce the risk of transmission of the coronavirus, work pass and dependent pass holders, including children under 12 years of age, must now take a Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 72 hours prior to departure when traveling to Singapore. This requirement applies to all pass holders arriving in Singapore as of November 17, 2020, at 23:59.
To enter Singapore, individuals will be required to present a valid negative test memo, in English, and from a laboratory that is internationally accredited or recognized by the respective countries’ governments. The test memo must include:
Enforcement action will be taken against pass holders who produce falsified documents to enter Singapore.
All entrants must also serve a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN), as stated in their entry approval emails. This applies to all pass holders entering from all countries and regions except Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China, Malaysia (excluding Sabah), New Zealand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
Following their arrival into Singapore, all pass holders must take another COVID-19 test before their 14-day SHN is over, except for children who are 12 years old or younger.
It is important to note that individuals who are unable to meet the requirements above or who are unable to enter Singapore must cancel their entry approvals before their approved entry period. Otherwise, they may still be obliged to pay the fees for their stay at the dedicated SHN facilities, if applicable, in amounts of $2,000 per person including GST, and for COVID-19 tests, up to $200 per person including GST, even if they do not enter Singapore.
