Introduction
The Hong Kong Immigration Department has introduced a new fee structure for visa applications to be effective immediately. The new system will affect applications submitted under the Specified Schemes program. Applicants must now pay both an application fee and a visa issuance fee on submission. Fees will vary subject to the duration of the visa. These new fees are being introduced to streamline the visa application process and ensure the coverage of administrative work.

What has changed?
Visa applicants applying for entry under the Specified Schemes program in Hong Kong will now be subject to a new 2 tier fee structure. Effective immediately, all applicants under the scheme will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of 600 HKD and a visa issuance fee of 600 HKD for a visa valid 180 days and under and 1300 HKD for a visa valid for more than 180 days. The 2 fees will be due for payment on the submission of the visa application.
The Specified Schemes program covers applications for the following: Top Talent Pass scheme, General Employment Policy, Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals, Quality Migrant Scheme, Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates, Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents, New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme, Capital Investment Entrant Scheme, Technology Talent Admission Scheme, Vocational Professionals Admission Scheme.
Dependants fees will be determined by the duration of the approved visa.
