Sterling Lexicon hosted country-specific webinars in Europe to share insights from peers and industry experts on strategies and solutions to the shipping crisis affecting the transportation of household goods. The sessions included a review of the root causes of disruptions impacting the shipping industry and offered thoughts on what the next 12 – 18 months could bring. Alternative policy approaches and service enhancements were discussed as well as practical solutions to mitigate shipping costs while ensuring the employee experience remained paramount.
As follow up, Sterling Lexicon partnered with The RES Forum to survey global mobility professionals to learn if policies were being revised in light of supply chain challenges, port congestion, and the delays in shipping household goods for their relocating employees. While the pandemic may have provoked change, the primary reason to revise household goods benefits was to provide greater flexibility to employees, closely followed by the need to contain mobility program costs.
Learn how your peers are navigating the challenges by instituting alternative solutions while keeping in mind the sustainability implications of the options presented to employees.
