China: expansion of visa free travel

Introduction

Building on previously granted exemptions, from the 8th November 2024 to 31st December 2025, the Chinese government is permitting nationals of Andorra, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Slovakia and South Korea to enter Mainland China visa-free for up to 15 days.

Visits can be for business, tourism, family visits or transit purposes.

What has changed?

Nationals of Andorra, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Slovakia and South Korea will be able to enter China visa-free for short term permitted purposes.

Part of a unilateral policy, the aim is to foster cultural exchanges between these countries.

There is no limit on the number of times someone can enter mainland China as long as stays do not exceed 15 days, and permitted activities are completed.
